Snacking is healthy when you make it a healthy snack. Here are some of my favorites!

Macambo Bean

Have you ever heard of a Macambo Bean? Me either! Until a lovely client brought me this bottle of beans to try, and I have to tell you it hit the mark! On the label, it says for brain and digestive function. They had me at that! But wait! They are organic, wild-harvested from native Amazonian Canopy Trees, AND empower the local Peruvian Woman’s Collective. This healthy snack option offers vital minerals, nutrients, and antioxidants! It covers the crunchy salty snack craving for sure.

Flax Crackers

Trader Joe’s also has a flax seed snack cracker that is gluten-free and tastes SO GOOD with a little sun nut, or almond butter. I’ve even spread a little Kerrygold butter and a sprinkle of Celtic Sea Salt on it to replace toast or bread.

Hummus

My favorite hummus is Trader Joe’s organic hummus. I dip my organic carrot, celery, radishes, and even apple slices in it! Careful, it’s high in calories and can get you in trouble!

It’s also really easy to make your own. All you need is a can of garbanzo beans, olive oil, salt, and garlic. Mix it all up in a food processor or blender!

Nut Butters

I love to take apple slices and/or celery and dip them in UNSWEETENED crunchy almond butter, sun nut butter, or even cashew butter. Careful here too, these are great snacks but can be high in calories! Watch for allergies too!
